A new home in Sagaponack Village by Michael Davis Design & Construction has sold for $16.5 million.

Completed last year, the transitional home with colonial and shingle-style influences and low-sloped roofs has distinctive blue-trimmed windows and portico. It is 7,600 square feet with an additional 4,400 square feet in the lower level, and has eight en-suite bedrooms, plus a flex room.

At 494 Hedges Lane, the 2.3 private acres is set back from the street and boasts a 60-foot pool and spa, a pergola, a pool house and a sunken tennis court.

The residence’s main level has a curving staircase in the foyer, great room with 14-foot ceilings, paneled walls and exposed beams, a den with a wet bar and wine storage, a chef’s kitchen, a breakfast room and a junior master bedroom.

A three-car garage is attached through a mudroom, and barn doors allow the garage to be converted into an indoor-outdoor party area.

The main house’s upstairs is where the master suite can be found down a private hall, with a terrace, walk-in closets and his-and-hers bathrooms.

All three levels are served by an elevator, and a laundry chute is accessible in the upper level and kitchen.

To the rear of the main house are walls of glass to invite the outdoors inside, and a covered porch provides an outdoor living room with a television and fireplace. The pool house is an open-air structure with a wet bar and storage.

It had been listed for $17.9 million.

The buyers are Christina and Barry Kringstein, according to The Real Estate Report Inc. Just last year, the Barry Kringstein Trust sold 10 Danielles Way in Water Mill — a 1.72-acre property with a 6,100-square-foot gambrel-style residence with golf course views and bordering a horse farm — for $5.25 million.
