A property in Montauk’s moorlands, an exclusive area where Dick Cavett resides and where Andy Warhol had an estate, has sold for $10 million.
Located at 48 Old Montauk Highway, it had been listed with Chris Coleman of Saunders for $10.25 million. The seller was Theodore Shaine and the buyer was Cherrys Trust, according to the Real Estate Report Inc.
The parcel is more than 10 acres and host to a 4,000-square-foot shingle-style residence by the late architect Frank Hollenbeck. Abutting 100 acres of preserved land, it has four bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, three fireplaces, ocean views, a garage, a 55-foot pool, a hot tub and a pool house.
The new homeowners will share a deeded ocean beach with just a few neighbors.
