A classic modern bayfront home designed by architect Thierry Pfister in Napeague has sold for $8.87 million after most recently seeking $8.95 million.

At 621 Lazy Point Road, the 3,840-square-foot residence on 5.34 acres was built in 2000. In 2017, it was on the market for $9.1 million with no takers, and in June 2021 it came back on the market for $9.5 million.

“The incredible sale price achieved is a new marker for the bayfront Amagansett area,” said Catherine Debackere of the Sotheby’s International Realty Bridgehampton brokerage. “The seller was ecstatic that I brought her an amazing deal after the property had been lingering on the market.”

Down a meandering drive, the home with sweeping water views and 203 feet of beach on Napeague Bay has four bedrooms, five bathrooms with imported mosaic tiles, and wrap-around decking. The main suite has its own balcony and walk-in closets. The living areas are open, the chef’s kitchen has been updated and the dining areas are centered on a two-sided fireplace. Glass doors open seamlessly to the decking and exterior living spaces, with views out to Gardiners Island.

A staircase leads to a loft with a sunset-facing balcony.

A private bungalow with an enclosed outdoor spa shower complements the pool. A boat mooring is permitted.

“Pfister, who also designed for Hariri & Hariri and has been published globally, created sculptural yet inviting dramatic spaces which brilliantly frame nature’s four seasons,” the listing states.

The residence is outfitted with Sonos and an EV charger.

The deal closed on February 17, according to The Real Estate Report Inc., which reported that the seller was Damelys D. Marin and the new owner is 621 Lazy Point LLC.
