A newly built 9,000-square-foot residence in Sagaponack by Shoji Builders recently sold for $6.4 million.

At 482 Wainscott Harbor Road, the home has a very modern open feel in a traditional structure, and the highlights include a floating glass stairway and glass-encased wine cellar, according to Nest Seekers International Hamptons regional manager Geoff Gifkins, who had the listing along with Nest Seekers agent Patrick Donaghy.

On 1.3 acres, the home has eight bedrooms, eight full bathrooms and two half baths.

A full gym terraced theater and recreation rooms are on the lower level, which accesses a patio.

A pool house with a full bathroom and kitchenette is next to the 50-foot pool with spa.

There is a 50-foot wide conservation easement in front of the property and a 100-foot easement in the back, according to Shoji Builders,

The deal closed on May 6, according to The Real Estate Report Inc., which identified the buyers as Darrell and Scott Wolff.

Scott Wolff is a managing director of private equity company American Securities, and Darrell Wolff is an associate at Ernst & Young.

Hamptons Rental Market Remains Alive and Well

To paraphrase Mark Twain, reports of the demise of the Hamptons summer-rental market are greatly exaggerated. “Any hint that the Hamptons rental market is anything but robust is completely wrong,” said Corcoran associate broker Gary DePersia in East Hampton. An interesting dynamic is stirring in the Hamptons vacation-rental market. Although there has been an unprecedented rise in short-term rentals and the aftershocks of the COVID-19 pandemic linger, it has been a bumper crop year for Wall Street, interest rates have remained steady and a new breed of demanding customer is emerging. Despite it all, the Hamptons vacation-rental market remains as ... 19 Jun 2025 by Joseph Finora
