A new gambrel-style traditional residence in Water Mill, north of Montauk Highway, has sold for $8.32 million

Inclusive of the finished lower level, the home offers 13,000 square feet of living space with a two-story living room, a “massive” kitchen, a gathering room, a master retreat, a home media center, two en suite bedrooms and a gym. Among the amenities are three fireplaces, an elevator, a heated gunite pool, a pool house, tennis and a five-car garage.

Corcoran associate broker Emily Demone had the listing.

“The buyer visited the property 11-plus times over a nine-month period before deciding to move forward, thus taking this from a spec home to a custom build, which culminated in an 11-hour, two-day-long closing 21 months later,” Demone said.

The seller was JLS Land Development LLC. Suffolk Vision Inc. reported that the new buyer is Jacqueline Harris and the deal closed on April 26.

Hamptons Rental Market Remains Alive and Well

To paraphrase Mark Twain, reports of the demise of the Hamptons summer-rental market are greatly exaggerated. “Any hint that the Hamptons rental market is anything but robust is completely wrong,” said Corcoran associate broker Gary DePersia in East Hampton. An interesting dynamic is stirring in the Hamptons vacation-rental market. Although there has been an unprecedented rise in short-term rentals and the aftershocks of the COVID-19 pandemic linger, it has been a bumper crop year for Wall Street, interest rates have remained steady and a new breed of demanding customer is emerging. Despite it all, the Hamptons vacation-rental market remains as ... 19 Jun 2025 by Joseph Finora
