A modern Southampton Village estate by builder George Vickers Jr. Enterprises recently sold for $18.1 million

At the northeast corner of Halsey Neck Lane and Great Plains Road, the 1.84-acre hedge-lined estate has two gated entries. The address is 291 Great Plains Road, and the residence offers 12,200 square feet of living space updated by Gale Sitomer Interior Design in 2016.

There are nine bedrooms and 14 bathrooms. A large kitchen and gathering room are the focal point of the first floor, which also boasts a formal dining room, a wood-paneled library, a great room, a butler’s pantry and a mudroom.

A two-story foyer leads to the main staircase. On the second story, the 1,200-square-foot master suite has a living room/office, a sleeping quarters with a fireplace, and a his-and-hers bathroom with an adjoining shower and double closets. There are two kitchenettes on the second story, including one in a private guest suite, plus a living room.

Among the amenities are four fireplaces, an elevator, a three-car garage, a home theater, a gym, a wine bar, a heated pool and spa, a pool house, an outdoor shower and a sunken tennis court.

The deal closed on October 8. The last asking price was $21.5 million, so the final sales price works out to a 15.8 percent discount. Bespoke Real Estate had the exclusive listing.

The new owner is Cory Robbins, a record executive who founded two labels, Profile Records, which gave rise to Run-D.M.C., and Robbins Entertainment, which is influential in dance music. According to The Real Estate Report Inc., the seller was RJDM Great Plains Road LLC.

Town property records state that the residence that currently stands on the property was built in 2013. It last traded hands in 2015 for $16.13 million.

Hamptons Rental Market Remains Alive and Well

To paraphrase Mark Twain, reports of the demise of the Hamptons summer-rental market are greatly exaggerated. “Any hint that the Hamptons rental market is anything but robust is completely wrong,” said Corcoran associate broker Gary DePersia in East Hampton. An interesting dynamic is stirring in the Hamptons vacation-rental market. Although there has been an unprecedented rise in short-term rentals and the aftershocks of the COVID-19 pandemic linger, it has been a bumper crop year for Wall Street, interest rates have remained steady and a new breed of demanding customer is emerging. Despite it all, the Hamptons vacation-rental market remains as ... 19 Jun 2025 by Joseph Finora
