A Maidstone area shingle-style residence that was fully renovated with interior designer David Kleinberg and local builder Jay Bialsky has sold for $12.85 million, just $100,000 less than the asking price.
On one acre at 21 Middle Lane, the home has 8-inch oak floors in the foyer and living room, and a kitchen with Sub-Zero, Wolf and Miele appliances plus pantry closets to serve the dining room. A family room opens to a screened porch, and a guest bedroom, a den with full bath, and a laundry room round out the first floor.
The primary suite has a “luxurious bathroom,” according to the listing, plus a large walk-in closet and laundry. Two guest suites are also located on the second floors.
Fireplaces are found in the living room, family room and one of the guest suites.
Dickson DeMarche of Laurel Rock Development designed the grounds, with flowering gardens, specimen trees and tall perimeter plantings.
A 40-foot heated gunite pool with a separate spa is new, framed by brick patios and walls. Also among the outdoor amenities is a courtyard with a fireplace.
The property also boasts a two-car garage with a finished space on the second story that is currently a gym.
Associate broker Gary DePersia of The Corcoran Group had the listing.
“Like the ‘Little Engine That Could,’ 21 Middle Lane was an overachiever,” DePersia said. “It set what has to be a record for a house its size on only one acre. With stunning interiors by David Kleinberg, coupled with the sellers’ own never ending commitment to always maintaining the property at its best, it was a ‘wow’ offering in a compact package that found a buyer very quickly.”
Bruce and Iris Klatsky Trust was the seller and the buyer was 21 Middle Lane LLC, according to Suffolk Vision Inc., which reported that the deal closed on July 15.
