Southampton can breathe a sigh of relief. Dash, the pop-up boutique on Jobs Lane opened last year by reality television stars Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian, is definitely not returning this summer! A new pop-up shop is opening in its stead—Country Club Prep, an online retailer that will sell, appropriately enough, preppy apparel.

There were concerns last spring that the Kardashian sisters, along with their filming of “Khloe and Kourtney Take the Hamptons,” would attract large crowds and paparazzi in a decidedly unrefined manner, and several people bashed the business owner who rented her space at 64 Jobs Lane to the sisters for the clothing store, which closed at the end of summer.

But after all the fuss, the space will now return to a more traditional Southampton flavor, with Country Club Prep highlighting a “best-selling” men’s and women’s brand each month, as well as other labels, such as Jack Rogers, Julie Vos and Smathers and Branson needlepoint products.

Happy hours, live music and other events at the store will be held throughout the summer season, a press release promises.

This will be Country Club Prep’s third bricks-and-mortar store, with others in Charlottesville, Virginia, and Lexington, Kentucky. A grand opening will be held on Tuesday, May 19. Shoppers, get ready to own the preppy runway that is Southampton Village.

Hamptons Rental Market Remains Alive and Well

To paraphrase Mark Twain, reports of the demise of the Hamptons summer-rental market are greatly exaggerated. “Any hint that the Hamptons rental market is anything but robust is completely wrong,” said Corcoran associate broker Gary DePersia in East Hampton. An interesting dynamic is stirring in the Hamptons vacation-rental market. Although there has been an unprecedented rise in short-term rentals and the aftershocks of the COVID-19 pandemic linger, it has been a bumper crop year for Wall Street, interest rates have remained steady and a new breed of demanding customer is emerging. Despite it all, the Hamptons vacation-rental market remains as ... 19 Jun 2025 by Joseph Finora
