A Southampton Village traditional on a half-acre two blocks from the ocean has sold for $6.78 million.
At 243 Toylsome Lane, the 2002 custom home was listed for the very first time. It has five bedrooms and a room that can serve as a sixth bedroom, two and a half bathrooms and a gourmet kitchen with an adjacent breakfast room, and an unfinished basement with 10-foot ceilings.
A pool house stands near the 20-foot-by-40-foot heated pool and bluestone patio.
Emily Demone, an associate broker with Corcoran, had the listing for the house, which had never been on the market before.
“One of the most compelling features of this home is the location,” Demone said, adding that it is “within a whisper to the coveted and canopied Wyandanch Lane and the Atlantic Ocean beyond and just a blink away to the heart of Southampton Village.”
Because the home was built before the village put more restrictive gross square footage regulations into place, it could not be re-created today, she pointed out.
The deal closed on February 13 between Ronald Buchter, the seller, and Marc and Linda Pagano, the buyers, according to Suffolk Vision Inc.
It was listed for $7.25 million.
