The Only New Residence On Sag Harbor's Main Street Sells For $7 Million

authorStaff Writer on May 11, 2021

The first new build on Sag Harbor’s Main Street in more than 75 years recently sold for $7.19 million.

The house and pool were built in 2017 in place of a cape that was deemed noncontributing to the historic district. Located on Captain’s Row, the new home is 4,800 square feet with five bedrooms, six full bathrooms and two half-baths. There is additional living space in the finished lower level and the pool house. The property also includes a detached garage.

The design is in the style of a Victorian, but with modern influences.

According to The Real Estate Report Inc., 232 Main Street changed hands on April 6. The sellers were Michelle and Stephen DeBiasi and the new owner is a limited liability company. The DeBiasis paid $6.27 million for the property in 2018.

The Breitenbach Advisory Team at Compass made the sale — the third time the team has sold 232 Main Street.

Hamptons Rental Market Remains Alive and Well

An interesting dynamic is stirring in the Hamptons vacation-rental market. Although there has been an unprecedented rise in short-term rentals and the aftershocks of the COVID-19 pandemic linger, it has been a bumper crop year for Wall Street, interest rates have remained steady and a new breed of demanding customer is emerging. Despite it all, the Hamptons vacation-rental market remains as ... 19 Jun 2025 by Joseph Finora
