Two senior brokers from Sotheby’s International Realty, Senior Vice President Brokerage Manager Aspasia “Cia” Comnas and Vice President Brokerage Manager Ed Reale, quit the firm this week to join rival Brown Harris Stevens.

At Brown Harris Stevens, Ms. Comnas will be the executive managing director and Mr. Reale will be the senior managing director. They will oversee the operation of all nine Brown Harris Stevens offices on the East End.

According to Amy Gotzler, vice president of communications for Brown Harris Stevens, Ms. Comnas will work from the Bridgehampton office, and Mr. Reale will work from the Southampton office.

A press release announcing the addition of the pair to the Brown Harris Stevens team was issued on Tuesday morning.

“Known for their professionalism, trusted counsel and dedication to clients and the community, Cia and Ed bring a breadth of knowledge and a wealth of experience to Brown Harris Stevens. We are delighted to welcome them,” Arthur Zeckendorf, co-owner and co-chairman of Brown Harris Stevens’s parent company, Terra Holdings, was quoted as saying in the release.

Ms. Comnas and Mr. Reale are former practicing real estate attorneys. Ms. Comnas was a lawyer in Bridgehampton for 15 years,
working in all aspects of residential and commercial sales and purchases, leases, real estate brokerage, land use and zoning. Mr. Reale practiced law on the East End for more than 25 years, concentrating on real estate transactions,
zoning, planning and municipal law.

Ms. Comnas joined Sotheby’s in April 1999 as vice president and brokerage manager for the firm’s Bridgehampton office. She was promoted to senior vice president in 2003.

Mr. Reale joined Sotheby’s in 2006 as a vice president and brokerage manager for the Southampton office.
