A Southampton Village estate dubbed “The Beachmont” sold and closed last month for $8 million, according to The Real Estate Report Inc., after last asking $8.95 million.

The 1.8-acre property at 437 Wickapogue Road hosts a seven-bedoom, 8.5-bathroom traditional with vaulted and coffered ceilings plus a pool house. Inclusive of the lower level, the home has 9,900 square feet of indoor living space.

There are seven fireplaces throughout the residence, and an elevator connects all levels.

Outdoors, there’s an expansive veranda, a heated 20-foot-by-45-foot gunite pool with spa, and an all-weather tennis/basketball court.

The sellers were Margaret & Alfred Kelly and the new owner is JJML Partners LLC. The deal closed October 6. Tim Davis of Corcoran had the listing.

An interesting dynamic is stirring in the Hamptons vacation-rental market. Although there has been an unprecedented rise in short-term rentals and the aftershocks of the COVID-19 pandemic linger, it has been a bumper crop year for Wall Street, interest rates have remained steady and a new breed of demanding customer is emerging. Despite it all, the Hamptons vacation-rental market remains as ... 19 Jun 2025 by Joseph Finora
