A Southampton Village estate dubbed “The Beachmont” sold and closed last month for $8 million, according to The Real Estate Report Inc., after last asking $8.95 million.

The 1.8-acre property at 437 Wickapogue Road hosts a seven-bedoom, 8.5-bathroom traditional with vaulted and coffered ceilings plus a pool house. Inclusive of the lower level, the home has 9,900 square feet of indoor living space.

There are seven fireplaces throughout the residence, and an elevator connects all levels.

Outdoors, there’s an expansive veranda, a heated 20-foot-by-45-foot gunite pool with spa, and an all-weather tennis/basketball court.

The sellers were Margaret & Alfred Kelly and the new owner is JJML Partners LLC. The deal closed October 6. Tim Davis of Corcoran had the listing.

Thiele Jr.’s legislation that clarifies that seasonal rentals are not subject to caps on collecting deposits and advance payments. The funding will enable OLA to continue its work on tenants’ rights education concerning evictions and landlord-tenant disputes. “The onset of the pandemic in early 2020 and the accompanying shutdown of many industries devastated the livelihoods of countless East End Latino immigrants,” stated an OLA release announcing the donation. “A year and a half later, these individuals and families are still struggling to make ends meet, relying on OLA for cash assistance with food and, in the most dire cases, ... 9 Nov 2021 by Staff Writer
