SAG HARBOR VILLAGE — There were two reports of illegal construction made anonymously to Village Police at around 10 a.m. on Sunday. The first complaint involved a property on John Street. An officer sent to investigate found two men on a ladder, scraping moss from the cedar shingles on the roof. The officer explained that they were not allowed to do any form of construction work under the village code on a Sunday. The men agreed to stop their scraping. SAG HARBOR VILLAGE — A Hampton Street resident contacted Village Police on March 11, complaining that in recent weeks garbage had been dumped in front of his residence several times. The man said he suspected local construction workers were responsible. Police checked the area, but did not find any construction teams at work at that time.
