Barbara (Valette Raynor) Forbes Goodridge died on October 30. She was 94.
Born on June 3, 1921, in Quantico, Virginia, she was one of four daughters of Sidney N. Raynor, a descendant of Thurston Raynor who came from England in 1634 and settled in Port Jefferson, and Winifred Wagner Raynor. Her father served in the Marine Corps, and as a child, she lived in Haiti as well as several other places. She married Frank C. Forbes in 1942 and moved to Quogue a few years later. After the death of her husband in 1962, she married Curtis Goodridge in 1963. After Mr. Goodridge’s death in 1976, she started an interior decorating business, Goodridge Interiors. Survivors said she enjoyed decorating homes in Westhampton Beach and Quogue.
Ms. Goodridge is survived by a daughter, Gaye Forbes, and a son, Brad Goodridge. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Brooke Moyse, Reyna Goodridge and Bradford Goodridge Jr.; niece Susan Lilly and nephews Michael Forbes and Bob Raynor, as well as many other nieces and nephews.
Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Follett and Werner Funeral Home in Westhampton Beach.
