Belle Lillian Bernstein of Center Moriches died on June 30. She was 93.

Mrs. Bernstein was a resident of Center Moriches since her marriage to Abe Bernstein in 1934.

She was the last surviving member of the 10 original founding families of the Jewish Center of the Moriches. She was a past-president of the Jewish Center of the Moriches Sisterhood, a life-member of the Pioneer Chapter of Hadassah in Westhampton, and a past matron of the Sunrise Chapter of the Eastern Star.

Mrs. Bernstein is survived by three daughters; Harrice Joan Bernstein, Judith Hean and her husband Jon Hean, and Elaine Bernstein and her partner Bruce Philips; six grandchildren, Donna Bruno-Marotta and Chris Marotta, Lisa Rosen, Jason Hean, Justin Bilski, Janna Bilski; and four great-grandchildren, Frank Bruno, Gabrielle Rosen, Sydney Rosen and Sophie Rosen.

She was predeceased by her husband, Abe, in 1999.

A funeral service was held at the Jewish Center of the Moriches on July 2, and interment followed at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Center Moriches.

Arrangements were under the direction of Wesche Funeral Home in Center Moriches.
