Catherine “Katie” Brocki of East Moriches died at home on February 28, surrounded by her family. She was 101.
Ms. Brocki was born in Westhampton to Michael and Mary Bandrowski, the middle child of seven children. Survivors said she loved to be outdoors in the garden and cooking ethnic food.
Predeceased by her husband, Stanley, and daughter, Mary Ann Cybulski, she is survived by a daughter, Catherine Stasiukiewicz and husband Tony of Aquebogue; a son, Stanley Brocki and wife Luci of Westhampton; a son-in-law, Andre Cybulski of Cutchogue; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held at Sinnicksons Moriches Funeral Home on March 1, with a funeral mass held the next day at St. John’s Roman Catholic Church in Center Moriches. Interment followed in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
