Charles Edwin Dimon Jr. of Hagerstown, Maryland, died on March 27 surrounded by his family at Washington County Hospital in Hagerstown. Born January 11, 1930, to Eugenia (née Mallery) and C. Edwin Dimon of Southampton, he was 79.
According to the family, his final prayer for all who knew him was to spread the word about Jesus, joy, forgiveness, forgetfulness, happiness and love throughout the world.
He is survived by a son, Charles Douglas Dimon Sr. of Southampton; three daughters, Suzanne Shaheen of Southampton, Fawn Proctor of Pennsylvania and Dawn Richmond of Maryland; two sisters, Edna “Hedy” Boyd of Southampton and California, and Carol Boening of California; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
A daughter, Mary Jean Dimon, and a sister, Dorothy Zabel, predeceased him.
His ashes will be interred at Southampton Cemetery.
