Charles Frederick Donatien Moulton of Southampton, New York died at home on November 10, 2022 after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease.

Charles was born in New York City on October 24, 1943. He was an alumnus of St. Bernard’s School, Cranwell School in Lenox, MA and Georgetown University.

Charles was an opera afi cionado, enjoying many performances at the Metropolitan Opera throughout his life. He shared this interest with his late parents Charles Frederick Moulton and Mary Horsey Moulton and with his surviving daughter Sarah Moulton Faux.

Charles had a love of tennis which in later life developed into a passion for paddle tennis. He was an avid backgammon and billiards player. He was also an enthusiastic supporter of the NY Rangers and the NY Yankees.

Charles is survived by his wife of 41 years, Deborah Moulton, his daughter Sarah and son-in-law Gordon Faux, step-son Blair Baldwin and wife Lindsay Hyde, brother Carroll Moulton and spouse Ernie Hulsey, as well as four grandchildren Clara Faux, Byron Faux, Campbell Baldwin, and Jones Baldwin … and his faithful dog Poppy.

A memorial service celebrating his life will be planned for the spring.
