Community Conservation

Eastern Suffolk Ducks Unlimited would like to thank all of our underwriters and supporters of our new event, the ESDU Beach Bash. The event was a great success due to the wonderful and dedicated volunteers and underwriters.

Eastern Suffolk Ducks Unlimited is committed to conserving, preserving, and protecting waterfowl habitat on Eastern Long Island, as well as across the United States, Canada, Mexico, and parts of Europe. Ducks Unlimited is a leader in wetland conservation, with a mission to conserve, restore and manage wetlands.

We are truly grateful to have so many supporters dedicated to waterfowl and their habitats. We were proud to host our event at the Tiana Beach Pavilion, a true hidden gem. The facility served as the perfect venue for our community gathering.

The Beach Bash and Beach Clean-Up featured our youth cleaning up the beaches and learning the importance of good stewardship within the community. They worked side by side to improve waterfowl habitats. The community can get involved with Eastern Suffolk Ducks Unlimited by contacting Thea and Jim Fry, committee chairs, at 631-276-3435.

Please keep an eye out for our upcoming volunteer drive this summer and our December gala.

ESDU would like to extend our gratitude to the Town of Southampton, for maintaining this beautiful property for the residents of Southampton, and for its assistance in making this event a success.

We would also like to thank the following supporters of this event: Southampton Town Trustees, Southampton Town bay constables, Southampton Town Parks and Recreation, Southampton Town fire marshal’s office, Southampton Town Explorers, Mariners Patriot Club, and our underwriters, Jackson Dodd, Carpetman, Robert Gill (tent), Jesse Warren, Lance Gumbs, Dan Bozzo, Ryan Herits of Westchester Financial Partners, Brian Kelly, Peconic Beverage, Thyme and Again, Hamptons Coffee, Thea and Jim Fry, Classic Beverage, Hampton Beverage, Skidmore’s, Dan Martel, Steve Storch, The Green Thumb, JJ Armory, Dave Hawke, the Shell station (Water Mill), Suburban Propane, Brian Finalborgo, Peoplepool Valet, Long Island Print East Inc., Schmidt’s Country Market, EZ Dekes, and TDB.

ESDU thanks you all for your assistance and dedication to waterfowl habitat on Eastern Long Island and throughout the United States. Together, we can accomplish great things for our waterfowl.

Our event chairs, Hunter Tracy, Shelby Turascamo and Ray Wellen, along with the ESDU committee, did a fantastic job organizing and executing this event.

Thank you for all your hard work and diligence.
