Constance H. Bishop of Remsenburg died at her home on Thursday, April 17. She was 74.
Ms. Bishop was born in Brooklyn on September 9, 1933, to George and Katherine Harr. She was a charter member of the Westhampton Country Club, and a longtime member and past president of the Remsenburg Garden Club. She was also the president of the New York State Garden Club District 2, and treasurer and committee chairman of the Federated Garden Club of New York State.
An avid horticulturist, Ms. Bishop was a firm believer in only planting native flowers in her garden.
Ms. Bishop is survived by a sister, Judith Christiansen and her husband Edward; a niece, Lorraine Johannessen; and a nephew, John Christiansen.
The Reverend Ann McAnelly of the Remsenburg Presbyterian Church conducted a funeral service at the Follett and Werner Funeral Home in Westhampton Beach on April 22; interment was at Westhampton Cemetery on April 23.
