Edna J. McGreevy
Edna J. McGreevy of Southampton died December 8 at the Hamptons Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing in Southampton. She was 91.
Born in Brooklyn, she was the proud matriarch of three generations of her family.
She is survived by a daughter, Janet Bonawandt and her husband Karl Bonawandt of Hampton Bays; a son, Stephen McGreevy of Selden; a granddaughter, Amanda Krzenski and her husband William; five grandsons, Jeffrey McGreevy and his wife Andrea, Michael Bonawandt and his wife Diane, Karl Bonawandt and his wife Tara, Christopher Bonawandt and his wife Camilla and Donald McGreevy; five great-granddaughters, Kate McGreevy, Lauren Bonawandt, Celia Bonawandt, Lilly Bonawandt, and Kirra Krzenski; and two great-grandsons, Tyler McGreevy and Jack Bonawandt.
A parish prayer service was held on December 9 at the J. Ronald Scott Funeral Home. A funeral mass was held on December 10 at St. Rosalie’s Church in Hampton Bays. Internment followed at Long Island National Cemetery in Pinelawn alongside her late husband William McGreevy.
