Ernest J. Schwab of Patchogue died on Thursday, August 13, at his home. He was 86.

Mr. Schwab was born on July 25, 1923. He was a veteran of World War II.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Jessie T. Schwab (née Mill); two daughters, Virginia and her husband Joseph Lebeda of Florida and Dianne Neubert of Florida; five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and a sister-in-law, Elizabeth Mill of Westhampton.

Memorial services were held on Sunday, August 16, at the Follett & Werner Funeral Home. Religious services were held on Monday, August 17, at the Church of the Immaculate Conception. Interment followed at the Westhampton Cemetery.
