Ettore C. Cercone
Ettore C. Cercone of East Quogue died on November 6 at Peconic Bay Medical Center in Riverhead. He was 85.
Mr. Cercone was a graduate of Columbia University and worked as a design mechanical engineer for Grumman Aerospace Industries in Calverton.
As a young man, he served in the Italian resistance movement during World War II. Later, upon moving to the United States, he served in the Korean War.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Anna Marie Cercone of East Quogue; two sons, Lawrence J. and James A. Cercone, both of East Quogue; and a sister, Flavia Cercone of Pacentro, Italy.
Cremation was private. Funeral services were held on November 10 at the Church of St. Rosalie in Hampton Bays.
