Frank A. Pierre Jr. Of Hampton Bays Dies March 12

Frank A. Pierre Jr. of Hampton Bays died at home on March 12, after a long illness. He was 84.

Mr. Pierre was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during the Korean War. He was a past commander of the Hand-Aldrich American Legion Post #924 and a life member of the Southampton Elks Lodge #1574, and a fourth degree knight affiliated with the Hampton Bays Knights of Columbus.

Mr. Pierre was predeceased by his wife, Eileen (McCreedy). He is survived by three children, Frank A. Pieree III of Patchogue, Susan Von Bartheld of Hampton Bays and Chris Pierre of Hampton Bays; six grandchildren, Anthony Pierre, Christopher Pierre Jr., Brook Von Bartheld, Ashlyn Von Bartheld, Dylann Von Bartheld and Michael Pierre; and a great-granddaughter, Ava Pierre.

A prayer service will be held at the J. Ronald Scott Funeral Home in Hamptn Bays on Thursday, March 17, at 3 p.m.; clergy from the Church of St. Rosalie and representatives from the American Legion post will officiate. A funeral will be held at St. Rosalie’s on Friday, March 18, at 10:30 a.m.
