Former Resemburg resident Frank H. Huber, a winter resident of Vero Beach, Florida for 21 years, died on March 19 at Indian River Medical Center in Vero Beach, Florida. He was 69.
Mr. Huber was born June 12, 1940, in New York City.
A graduate of Garden City High School, he went on to earn a Bachelor of Economics degree from Brown University and served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
Over the years, he was employed by Citibank of New York and Adelphi University, also based in New York, and, before his retirement, worked as part of the management division of the McDonald’s corporation, based in New Jersey.
He was a member of the Westhampton Country Club, the Westhampton Yacht Squadron, the Swordfish Beach Club of Westhampton Beach, the Eagle Society of Vero Beach and the Grand Harbor Golf & Beach Club in Vero Beach.
He was involved with several charitable organizations, including East End Hospice and Family Counseling Services, both located in Westhampton Beach. He was also a board member and former treasurer of the Remsenburg Academy Association.
He is survived by his wife, Carol Moller Huber of Remsenburg; two stepsons, John Floegel of New Jersey and Scott Floegel of Virginia; a stepdaughter, Suzanne Floegel of Maryland; and nine grandchildren.
Funeral services, under the direction of Follett and Werner Funeral Home, will be held on Saturday, March 27, at 11 a.m., at the Immaculate Conception Church on Main Street in Quiogue.
