Gaetan Berube Of Southampton Dies July 1

Gaetan Berube of Southampton died on July 1 at Southampton Hospital, with his family by his side. He was 65.

Born in Squatec, Canada, Mr. Berube came to the United States as a curious young man, his survivors said. He learned the art of carpentry and established himself as a master in the art of woodworking.

He is survived by his son, Paul Berube, and fiancée Valerie Revere.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Brockett Funeral Home in Southampton.

Our Sag Harbor park tennis courts are under siege. There are eight clay courts and two hard courts. Information was just given at the start of the season that the hard courts will be given over to pickleball, as they were last season, but will be resurfaced and used only for pickleball — not to be shared for tennis, also.
