Harold M. Krzyzewski
Harold M. Krzyzewski died at home in Southampton on August 16. He was 54.
Born on June 20, 1958, he was a lifelong resident of Southampton and was affectionately known to many as “Uncle Harry.” An avid outdoorsman, he loved hunting, fishing and clamming.
Mr. Krzyzewski was a past member of the Southampton Fire Department, serving for more than 15 years. He was a devoted family man.
He is survived by his mother, Nancy Krzyzewski of Southampton; a son Austin of Hampton Bays; three sisters, Linda Cooke and her husband Brian of Southampton, Debra Krzyzewski and her partner James Conover of Hampton Bays and Dawn Ruiz of Southampton. He is also survived by his brother, Jeff Krzyzewski and wife Linda of Nebraska; and his girlfriend of 14 years, Gwen Trpicovsky.
He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Mr. Krzyzewski was predeceased by his father, Harold; and nephews Brian Cooke and Sean Krzyzewski.
A wake, memorial service and firematic services were held on Wednesday, August 22, at O’Connell Funeral Home in Southampton.
