Kevin Bigham of Southampton died at Southampton Hospital on June 9. He was 58.
Born in Southampton on March 11, 1957, to Anne Bigham and Elmer Bigham, who predeceased him, he attended Tuckahoe School and Southampton High School. He also attended the Board of Cooperative Educational Services automotive program, where he discovered his ability for repairing cars. He worked at several auto body shops in the Hamptons including Suburban Auto, Corwith’s Auto Body and Randall’s Auto Body. He enjoyed watching NASCAR races and WWF matches.
Survivors said he was a “gentle giant with a kind heart.”
In addition to his mother, he is survived by two brothers, Keith and wife Marita of California, and Kerry of Southampton; an uncle, Collier Crawley; five nieces; and a host of cousins and friends.
The family received friends and a funeral service took place at the Brockett Funeral Home in Southampton on Saturday, June 13, with the Reverend Donald E. Butler, pastor of the Community Baptist Church, officiating. Interment followed at Southampton Cemetery.
