Longtime Bridgehampton resident Laura Longnecker died on March 20 at the Peconic Medical Center in Riverhead. She was 87.

Ms. Longnecker grew up in Southampton, graduating from Southampton High School in 1939. Survivors said this week that she was loved and will be missed by all.

She is survived by two sons, Joseph Longnecker of Noyac and James Longnecker of East Hampton; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

The family received visitors on March 21 at the Brockett Funeral Home in Southampton. A funeral service was held at Brockett’s on March 22, followed by interment at Sacred Hearts Cemetery in Southampton.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Dominican Sisters Family Health Services, c/o Pamela Ash, 103-6 West Montauk Highway, Hampton Bays, NY 11946 or a charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.
