Lifelong Southampton Resident Christine Susan Najdzionek Dies At 59

Christine Susan Najdzionek, a lifelong resident of the East End, died on Monday, January 3, at Stony Brook University Hospital. She was 59.

A graduate of Southampton High School and Southampton College, Ms. Najdzionek expressed her love and passion for life in her love of her son, Ian, her art, and for all those who touched her life, recalled survivors this week. “For all who knew Christine, we know of her love for all that is good in the world and for her extraordinary artistic talent. She will be missed by all of her family and friends,” they added.

Ms. Najdzionek is survived by her son, Ian Najdzionek; a brother, Steven Najdzionek; a sister-in-law, Margaret Najdzionek; and cousins Patricia Stratfford and Carol Arnista .

Visitation was January 6 at O’Connell Funeral Home in Southampton. A funeral Mass was held on January 7 at Our Lady of Poland Roman Catholic Church in Southampton followed by burial at Sacred Hearts Cemetery, also in Southampton.

Due to inclement weather, the final paving work for the Snake Hollow railroad crossing originally scheduled for Friday, May 16, has been rescheduled to Tuesday, May 20, when Snake Hollow Road in Bridgehampton will be closed to all except local traffic.
