Lorraine (née Langsdorf) Henderson of East Patchogue died at her home on Friday, April 11. She was 75.
Raised in Hampton Bays, she was one of two daughters born to Arthur Langsdorf Sr. and Edibell (née Hubbard) Langsdorf. She attended the State University of New York at Brockport, and worked as a first grade teacher in the South County School District in Bellport for 32 years, retiring in 1989.
She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, the beach, and visiting Montauk.
She is survived by a daughter, Debra Dally and her husband Thomas of Hampton Bays; a son, Drue Henderson of Medford; a sister, Patricia Hagen Tuccio of Riverhead; a brother, Kenneth Langsdorf Sr. of Hampton Bays; a cousin, Wade Wallace of Ohio; four grandchildren, Erin, Bonnie, Kevin, and Rebecca; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband of 42 years, Gilbert W. Henderson, and a brother, Arthur Langsdorf Jr.
A wake and parish prayer service were held at the J. Ronald Scott Funeral Home in Hampton Bays on April 14. A funeral mass was held at St. Rosalie’s Church in Hampton Bays on April 15; interment followed at Good Ground Cemetery in Hampton Bays.
