Marion Bertram of Hampton Bays, who was under the care of East End Hospice, died at her home on Thursday, June 26. She was 95.

Ms. Bertram worked for many years as a bookkeeper/accountant for Bangtson Fuel in Hampton Bays.

She is survived by two close friends, Richard T. Miller and Gilbert McCall.

She was predeceased by her husband, Bert.

A funeral service was held at the J. Ronald Scott Funeral Home in Hampton Bays on June 30; interment followed at Good Ground Cemetery in Hampton Bays.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to East End Hospice, P.O. Box 1048, Westhampton Beach, NY 11978.

East Quogue School District Budget of $32.3 Million on the Ballot Tuesday

The East Quogue School District will ask voters to approve the district’s proposed $32.3 million budget for the 2025-26 school year, which hikes spending by more than 5 percent but does not pierce the state tax cap.
