Melissa L. Penny Of Hampton Bays Dies August 8

Melissa L. Penny of Hampton Bays died at home on August 8, from complications of lung cancer. She was 79.

She was predeceased by her husband, Brian. She is survived by four children, Kim Wourgola of Wading River, Brett A. Penny of Hampton Bays, Tracy Raymond and partner David Groski of East Quogue, and Lance Penny of Hampton Bays; four grandchildren, Shane Wourgola and wife Jessica, Caitlin Conlon, Brynn Raymond and Darcy Raymond; and three great-grandchildren, Kailie Conlon, Addison Conlin and Charley Wourgola.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the J. Ronald Scott Funeral Home in Hampton Bays. Burial was at Good Ground Cemetery, also in Hampton Bays.

Southampton DWI Arrests for the Week of December 12

William Campos Lopez, 26, of Speonk was arrested on December 8, at 3:40 a.m., by Quogue Village Police charged him with aggravated DWI, a misdemeanor. He was pulled over after being observed speeding and failing to maintain his lane on Montauk Highway, police said.
