Michael J. Sidor Jr. of East Quogue died at home on December 12, 2017. He was 80.
Born February 14, 1937, in Riverhead, he attended Riverhead High School and worked as a heavy equipment operator for the Town of Riverhead; earlier he had been a truck driver for Rheingold Beer.
Mr. Sidor was a past member of the East Quogue Fire Department, a life member of the Flanders Men’s Club, and a member of the East Quogue Fire Department’s benevolent association.
Predeceased by his wife, Patricia, in 2000, he is survived by his children, Lori Sidor of Sag Harbor, Mark Sidor of East Quogue, and Patrick Sidor of East Quogue. He is also survived by a sister, Dorothy Constantine of Riverhead; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the McLaughlin-Heppner Funeral Home in Riverhead.
Memorial donations may be made to the East Quogue Fire Department Benevolent Association.
