Miller Juanita (Barker) Wright died in her sleep on February 6, 2018. She was 94.
Born September 20, 1923, in Henderson, North Carolina, she moved to Eastport in 1928. As a young girl she worked at the Eastport Duck Farms, and the Remington Arms Ammunition Factory as part of the war effort.
After she married Edward Wright on December 26, 1942, at the East Quogue United Methodist Parsonage, she became a farmer’s wife and later secretary and bookkeeper to Edward Wright Cesspool Service.
Ms. Wright was predeceased by her husband, Edward Wright; her brothers, Norman and Ace Barker; and sisters, Jane Mohr and Jenny Clay.
She is survived by five children, Barbara (Dale Keasling), David (Christine), Bruce, Sandi Rosendahl, and Keith; 13 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Werner-Rothwell Funeral Home in Westhampton Beach.
