Bridgehampton High School sophomore Kristopher Vinski recently performed at the Suffolk County Music Educators’ Association 2020 Low Brass Festival. The event took place at the Smithtown East High School football stadium. Kristopher was on the 46 yard line and was part of the festive concert that was broadcast on Facebook.

Hampton Bays High School senior Alexi Cruz Guzman was recently recognized by the Hampton Bays Board of Education for being named a National Hispanic Scholar by the College Board. Mr. Guzman earned the honor by scoring in the top 2.5% of all PSAT/NMSQT test takers in 2019. He was presented with a certificate of recognition. Hampton Bays Elementary School kindergarten students practiced their writing skills while imagining what they would do if they found Santa stuck in their chimney. After reading “Santa’s Stuck” by Rhonda Gowler Greene, the students used the writing prompt, “If Santa was stuck in my chimney, I would…” to pen ideas on how to save him. On Friday, December 4, Tuckahoe students went home with a gift from the PTO — a gingerbread house for each student. In past years, our Tuckahoe PTO hosted an event at the school to decorate the houses together. Although we are saddened by not being able to get together this year, the PTO graciously gave students the opportunity to decorate a gingerbread house at home with their loved ones.
