Hampton Bays Elementary School kindergarten students practiced their writing skills while imagining what they would do if they found Santa stuck in their chimney. After reading “Santa’s Stuck” by Rhonda Gowler Greene, the students used the writing prompt, “If Santa was stuck in my chimney, I would…” to pen ideas on how to save him. Ideas including calling for their mom or getting him out with a hoverboard.

On Friday, December 4, Tuckahoe students went home with a gift from the PTO — a gingerbread house for each student. In past years, our Tuckahoe PTO hosted an event at the school to decorate the houses together. Although we are saddened by not being able to get together this year, the PTO graciously gave students the opportunity to decorate a gingerbread house at home with their loved ones.
