Stefania Zugaj Of Southampton Dies October 4

Stefania Zugaj of Southampton died on October 4 at the Westhampton Care Center. She was 86.

Born in Poland, she came to the United States in 1966 and worked and lived in Southampton. Survivors said she was a loving mother and grandmother and very dedicated to her family. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and baking for her grandchildren, and she loved her pets.

Ms. Zugaj is survived by a daughter, Danuta and husband William Bennett, and two grandchildren, Jessica and Matthew. She was predeceased by two sisters and three brothers, all of whom lived in Poland.

Visitation was held on October 6 at the O’Connell Funeral Home in Southampton. A funeral Mass was said on October 7 at the Basilica Parish of the Sacred Hearts Roman Catholic Church in Southampton. Interment followed at Sacred Hearts Cemetery in Southampton.
