We are writing this letter to express our strong support for two candidates in the upcoming Democratic primary.
Tommy John Schiavoni is running for State Senate. Tommy John has been a public school social studies teacher for over three decades, as well as a member of the Sag Harbor School Board. He is currently a member of the Southampton Town Board.
We are constantly impressed with Tommy John’s commitment to our environment, as well as establishing a more just and equal society.
Bridget Fleming is running in the Democratic primary for Congress. We have been watching Bridget win elections for the past 10 years, first as a Southampton Town Board member, then as a Suffolk County legislator. She has been able to help protect local farms while working for responsible economic development. She has also been tirelessly working to secure funding for Lyme disease research.
Most importantly, we believe Bridget Fleming is the candidate to defeat Lee Zeldin in November.
