Terry Beckman Of Hampton Bays Dies October 4

Terry Beckman of Hampton Bays died on October 4 at Peconic Bay Medical Center. She was 71.

Ms. Beckman was born in Southampton to Anthony Zalenski and Helen Schwenk. She was a graduate of Southampton High School and worked at Bridgehampton National Bank in Bridgehampton for many years before transferring to Capital One, from which she retired.

Ms. Beckman is survived by a son, Hugh Beckman and wife Elizabeth of Southampton; and a daughter, Hadley Hafemeister and husband Ralph of Hampton Bays. She is also survived by a sister, Kathy Stahecki and husband Peter of Northport; and five grandchildren, Thomas and Daniel Beckman, Andrew, Zachary and Noah Hafemeister.

There will be a gathering of family and friends at the J. Ronald Scott Funeral Home in Hampton Bays on Thursday, October 10, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Reverend Eric Rey will conduct a memorial service at the funeral home at 8 p.m. that evening.
