I would like to thank the members of the Halt the Highway group — it only took me 45 minutes to get from eastern Water Mill to Southampton Village the other day.
I was told “roads bring cars” by them 45 years ago. I guess they either lied or had no idea what they were talking about.
To those still alive, I hope you are as miserable as I am; to those who are no longer with us, I hope you have smooth and open roads.
