Where were you, “proud military veteran” Lee Zeldin, when your supporters stormed the Capitol making threats against the vice president and your fellow members of Congress? What secret undisclosed location were you hiding out in while rioters attacked and killed a police officer? Where were you when rioters chanted “hang Mike Pence” and defecated in the halls of Congress and trashed the offices of elected officials?
More important, where was your acknowledgment and apology for your part in inciting an unsuccessful coup? Lives were threatened and people were killed, and, without the slightest remorse, you continued your publicity stunt.
As a lawyer, you should know better. As a veteran, your allegiance should be to country. As an elected official, you should be serving your constituents, not a fascistic loser determined to undermine our democracy.
