William Thomas Borucke
William Thomas Borucke of Southampton died on October 21 at Southampton Hospital. He was 50.
Born December 3, 1959, in Southampton to Joyce and John Borucke, he attended Our Lady of The Hamptons and Southampton Public Schools, graduating from Southampton High School in 1978. While in school he excelled in both scholastics and athletics.
Mr. Borucke furthered and completed his education at State University of New York colleges SUNY Cortland and SUNY Oswego. He worked as a painting contractor for 23 years.
According to survivors, Mr. Borucke will always be remembered for the joy, laughter and warmth he brought to his friends and family.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by three brothers, his twin, Douglas Borucke of Yaphank, Mark Borucke and his wife Frances of Southampton, and John Borucke and his wife Myla of Glen Head; a sister, Elizabeth Borucke of Southampton; and three special nieces, Skylar, Kali and Shannon Borucke.
Visitation was on October 24 at the O’Connell Funeral Home in Southampton. A funeral mass was held on October 25 at Sacred Hearts of Jesus & Mary Church in Southampton. Cremation followed.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Southampton High School, Athletic Department, 141 Narrow Lane, Southampton, NY 11968 would be appreciated by the family.
