On October 22, I placed a paid ad in The Southampton Press offering to give away free copies of my nephew’s book, “The Oath and the Office,” written by Corey Brettschneider. This is a guide to the Constitution for future presidents.

The give-away in front of the Village Hall in Southampton and Canio’s bookstore in Sag Harbor was a huge success. It was free and was not “fake news.”

People came up to us inquiring why we were doing this. My answer was that this is not “fake” and we want you to read this book prior to voting this year.

We have given out hundreds of copies at no charge and just want to say thank you to The Press and everyone who was willing to listen before making their choice.
