Shellfish harvesting has been done at Conscience Point since before the English settlers arrived. The goal of the Conscience Point Shellfish Hatchery is to produce oysters to create oyster reefs to curtail erosion, as well as to clean local water.
We are very concerned that this worthwhile endeavor is in jeopardy. Please allow the Conscience Point Shellfish Hatchery to continue to exist.
