Producers of Mortified NYC will interview potential presenters for the upcoming The Hamptons Get Mortified Volume 3 at the Parrish Art Museum.

Mortified, which began in 2002 and has grown to have chapters and events in cities around the globe, puts adults on stage to read their embarrassing teenage writings or show their art and videos.

Mortified first came to the Parrish in June 2015 and returned in December. The third event will be Friday, July 15, 6 pm

“The Museum’s past forays into the Mortified program showed that East End audiences are enthusiastic about this format,” said Amy Kirwin, the Parrish’s visitor services and museum programs manager. “Because the Parrish strives to provide programs of particular interest to the East End community, and Mortified producers were looking to expand casting outside of New York City, it was clear that the time had come to present members of our own community in the program—as we do with PechaKucha.”

Applications are due online at getmortified.com/participate/ by Monday, March 21. A casting call for select applicants will take place Saturday, March 26, between 1 and 5 p.m. at the museum in Water Mill. Participants must be 22 or older. Visit parrishart.org for more information.
