The hustle and flow of Montauk real estate is keeping a steady pace with a new celebrity joining the ranks. Last month, “Saturday Night Live” star Colin Jost closed on a house in Hither Woods.

The 2,600-square-foot home sits on 1.2 acres and was sold for $2.149 million. According to the listing with Douglas Elliman, there are four bedrooms and three baths, and amenities include a double-sided floating fireplace, a pool and an outdoor shower. The master suite also has its own butler’s pantry and wet bar, in addition to the main eat-in kitchen.

The property is also close to the beach, the 1,300-acre Hither Woods preserve and Gurney’s Montauk Resort.

Mr. Jost had been a head writer on “SNL” from March 2014 to last October and is serving as the co-anchor of the show’s regular “Weekend Update” sketch. His purchase is one of a few notable transactions in the hamlet in recent months, including the sale of the former Warhol estate, Gurney’s purchase of the neighboring Panoramic View Resort and Residences, and the sale of longtime Montauk restaurant Trail’s End.
