What winter? The west side of the Shinnecock Canal has been very active the last few weeks, especially on Dune Road in Westhampton Beach.

Case in point: Susan and Ronald Gold put down $7,500,000 for 303 Dune Road. For that, the couple gets a 6,400-square-foot contemporary with 5 bedrooms and 6 baths, and of course a stretch of the Atlantic Ocean. The manse has three levels—the basement level has two bedrooms and two baths with a gym and sauna and wet bar; the main level has a state-of-the-art kitchen/dining area and living room with ocean and bay views and 4 bedrooms and 3 baths; and the top floor has a master bedroom with ocean view and classic marble bath. An adjacent room has a den with views of bay and ocean. The top two levels have decks with ocean and bay views. A large pool and hot tub on the ocean side with ample decking complete this pretty picture, all on 1 acre.

Also finding a buyer is 662 Dune Road. Andrea and Cary Crane—the latter founded the Apple & Eve juice company with his brother, Gordon—picked up the 0.72-acre property for $4,400,000. It has 7 bedrooms and 6 baths, and its amenities include a front porch with ocean views, gourmet kitchen, exercise room, hot tub and cabana, in-ground pool, and 130 feet of bay frontage.

Down Dune Road a ways is #182, which was just purchased by Tiffany Palagonia for $3,750,000. Just over 2,000 square feet, what is described as an “apartment home” has 2 bedrooms and 2 baths. Back up the other way, 692 Dune Road in West Hampton Dunes has changed hands—the new owner is a limited liability company—for $3,450,000. The last listing price was $3,999,000. The 4,000-square-foot residence has 4 bedrooms and 6 baths. The three-story home features radiant-heated limestone flooring, an open floor plan with living room, a dining room, a family room, and 2 fireplaces, an elevator, and a rooftop pool and spa with a second kitchen—all this fitting on 0.38 acre.
