Lady Gaga might be mulling a move to the East End

author on Jun 21, 2010

The East End could soon be home to another über-famous celebrity if the recent reports are true. Following in the footsteps of Madonna, who earlier this year bought a horse farm in Bridgehampton, Lady Gaga, born Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, is said to be looking for a Hamptons manse.

According to published reports in the New York Post and Newsday, the pop star is interested in something south of the highway in Sagaponack, Water Mill or Bridgehampton. Both articles report that Ms. Gaga is working with an agent at Bridgehampton-based Saunders & Associates.

Calls to Andrew Saunders, founder of Saunders & Associates, Linda Haugevik—the Saunders agent who has been reported but not confirmed to be working on the house hunt—and to Ms. Gaga’s publicist and record label in Los Angeles, California were not immediately returned.

Ms. Gaga started her climb to fame with the release of her debut album “The Fame” in 2008, which reached number one worldwide, peaked at number two on the Billboard 200 Chart in the United States and earned her six Grammy Award nominations—winning for Best Electronic/Dance Album and Best Dance Recording. Her best-known hits include “Just Dance,” “Poker Face” and “Paparazzi” from “The Fame” and “Bad Romance” from her second studio album “The Fame Monster.”

Last month, she made her first appearance on the annual Time magazine “Time 100” list of the most influential people in the world.
