A renovated 1920 oceanview house in Amagansett recently changed hands for $6.75 million, very close to its asking price. The sellers were Ruth and Jack McSpadden and the buyer was 332 Bluff LLC, according to The Real Estate Report Inc.

As the name of the limited liability company that purchased the property not-so-subtlety hints, the address is 332 Bluff Road.

The classic shingle-style residence constructed is 5,000 square feet plus a finished lower level on 0.6 acre. Verandas and balconies on the three levels were designed to capture the sea breezes and views, according to the Sotheby’s listing. The size of the house, the garage and the third level are all grandfathered in and would not be permissible under today’s building restrictions, the listing notes.

The house was renovated over the course of two and a half years. Period details such as the millwork and built-ins, diamond panel windows, three fireplaces and a double-side staircase were restored.

Among the living spaces are a spacious dine-in great room with a fireplace and three sides of windows, a sun room, and formal living and dining rooms. The kitchen is equipped with professional-grade appliances and a marble-topped island, a service bar and a large pantry.

The house offers six guest rooms and a master suite with a private sitting room and balcony.

Part of the renovation work was to raise the house and add a lower level that offers a media room, an en-suite bedroom, a gym and laundry. Outdoors, enjoy stacked-stone walls, a heated gunite pool and a lounge.

Rylan Jacka and Frances Schaeffer had the listing. The last asking price was $6.95 million.
