A modern home by architect John Laffey fronting Sam’s Creek in Bridgehampton recently sold for $13.83 million, just shy of its last asking price, according to The Real Estate Report Inc.

The open-plan ground floor features a Gaggenau kitchen, a living room, a media area and dining, opening up to expansive Brazilian teak decking and the gunite saltwater pool and spa. The outdoor living areas also include a kitchen.

The 1,400-square-foot master suite is upstairs with floor-to-ceiling windows and a marble spa bath with steam room.

Also among the amenities are a 2,000-square-foot basement, a dock and a three-car garage.

The house meets gold level National Green Building Standard Certification. Among the green home features are a solar roof, geothermal heating and whole-home water filtration.

The deal closed on June 26 for nearly the last asking price, $14 million. The Clark + Thoerner Team of Sotheby’s International Realty had the listing.
